6 important tips for grooming your rabbit.

Can cats eat pumpkin guts. Fresh pumpkin seeds can be fed to cats, but clean and roast them at 350 °f for 1 hour first. They’re especially attracted to its sweet, sugary flesh. Pumpkin seeds are not poisonous to bunnies, per se, but they are not an ideal rabbit food.

Pets also can’t eat the skin. Raw pumpkin and pulp (the slimy goo in the center) should also be avoided for the same reason that we do not reach for our spoons while carving. Less frequently #hashtagged than pumpkin (squash latte, anyone?) but just as nutritious, pick them up during thanksgiving and your cat can celebrate with you.

If you are in the know about what pests and animals can attack or eat your pumpkins you can find ways to fend them off and protect your produce (and your dinner!). Always wash the outside of the pumpkin before cutting it. Pumpkin is not the only gourd cats can chomp on.

Dogs can safely eat pumpkin with no problems, provided that it is cooked, raw, or canned organic and natural pumpkin and that it is slowly introduced into the dog’s regular diet. Avoid any canned pumpkin products that contain added flavoring or sugars, especially if your cat has diabetes. Humans love eating pumpkin so much, so you can hardly blame those animals who are intelligent enough to sneak some of the fruit while we aren’t looking!

Rabbits can have pumpkin “guts” but you’ll need to remove the seeds since they can be caught in your bunny’s throat. Potential health benefit of pumpkin for cats Don’t feed cats or dogs the “guts” or pulp of the pumpkin.

Do not add any salt or spices. Pets can only eat certain parts of a pumpkin and it needs to be prepared properly. Eating something out of the ordinary could be toxic for them.
