Not every cat is a snuggly, lap cat or one who acts more like a dog, and we know some people want a cat they can admire from afar and possibly keep as a “barn” cat. Got mice in your barn? To help your new barn cat acclimate to his/her new surroundings we encourage you to plan to keep him isolated in a small area within your outbuilding initially, with no access to the outdoors.
Placing them as barn cats on rural property is a humane, practical alternative to euthanasia. There is a significant overpopulation of cats in the united states. Animal allies humane society seeks adopters with a warm barn, shed, or other outdoor housing to give feral cats a chance at life.
All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. By providing a safe shelter and daily food and water you can help these cats have a permanent home, in turn, they can help you by keeping the rodent population down. These cats are fixed, vaccinated and are currently available for adoption only as barn cats.
